Quality Document Developer - a bespoke development

QDD was developed exclusively for Unit Superheater Engineering Limited, Swansea, a fabricator of engineering plant and components to ASME, Lloyds and ISO standards. QDD creates Quality Plans for fabrication contracts in just minutes, rather than hours using manual systems.

In practice, a dossier of control operations (previously detailed by USE) is stored in a Microsoft Access database. Using QDD, planning engineers can quickly interrogate the database to identify relevent controls for inclusion in the new contract Quality Plans.

Adding a few lines of contract specific information, and the complete document can be previewed or printed within a few minutes.

Separate databases are created on-the-fly for each contract, thus ensuring their future independence and integrity.

Fully formatted output can be previewed and printed by single page, or as a complete Plan. The new documents resemble the existing documents so closely that they can be issued for fabrication without further training of works personnel.
