Services...

We offer several Services to industry in addition to our product offerings elsewhere on this site. Naturally our primary service is in the development of bespoke software for industrial clients, but we also offer support services for our own software, and independent consultancy in the NDT field, particularly automated ultrasonic systems.

Bespoke Software Development...
Our Products page shows summaries of two bespoke projects undertaken for clients who are marketing their applications exclusively and independently of ISL... Floormap for Silver Wing Ltd, and PowerTube for PowerGen plc. We have developed projects from the smallest Excel spread-sheets, to large integrated suites including extensive database and image handling. We can write code to match pre-existing software specifications, or can work alongside our clients to develop the specification together.
We write exclusively for Windows. Our core development language is Visual Basic, version 3 (16 bit) and version 5 (32 bit). We still write most of our code in VB3 (16 bit) since many industrial users still prefer to use Windows 3.11. We write in VB5 if our client is running exclusively Windows 95 or Windows NT. Our database projects use Microsoft Access, with executables in VB3/5. Clients usually receive fully documented source-code within their contract fee.

Web Design Services...
Take a look around this site... if you like what you see and you need a site developed then maybe you should give us a call.. (Give us a call anyway... we like to get feed back from our visitors). Our primary design objective has been to include as much technical information as practicable in an organised and structured format, supported with graphics only where necessary to convey detail to the visitor. This leads to compact and efficient site with minimal download times. Our site has been assembled using Microsoft Front Page 2.0, and has been tested on Internet Explorer 3.04 (32 bit) and Netscape Navigator 3.01 (16 bit). It works fine for us.. we hope it works for you too!

NDT Consultancy...
The MD of ISL, Doug Breeze, has more than 35 years of continuous involvement in the inspection business. (Our About page includes a brief resume). We have considerable experience of automated ultrasonic inspection systems, including Force Institutes' P-Scan UT system, AMDATA Inc. UT mapping systems, UKAEA Nuclear Plant System, PAR Systems Inc. Nuclear Inspection Mast, and many more. Doug was responsible for planning, commissioning, installation and operation of a nuclear inspection system for Pre-Service Inspection (PSI) and In-Service Inspection (ISI) at the at Petten Nuclear Test Reactor in Holland. We trust that these examples demonstrate the breadth of our experience. Can we contribute to your project?

Training...
We can offer training for users of our products at locations such as the beautiful Sketty Hall Conference Centre, one of Swansea's oldest historic mansions. Alternatively we can come to your offices, locality or country to train your personnel. We will supply Certificates of Attendance and Certificates of Competence (by examination) where required. We ask only that you provide the people... we'll do the rest.
